Quality Control
At SM IMPEX, quality control is key within our operations, We have developed a Quality Management Manual to ensure the standards and regulations are met on the final products and that the best quality is delivered on the market and our final customer.
Key in our systems for a good final product are;
- Pre-harvest management: At SM impex Ltd, We ensure crops are grown under the right conditions from proper irrigation, fertilization, pest and disease control.
- Inspection at Pack house: The quality control process at the Pack house is done on all products delivered. Our well-trained workers and House Agronomist with partnership of the ministry of Agricultural carries out inspection before we give approval for the final product for export.
- Sorting and grading: All fruits and vegetables are sorted and graded according to qualities desired by our customers and stipulated on the international standards of size, shape, color, and quality. This process is carried out by trained personnel under the supervision of the SM impex Quality control management team.
- Packaging and Storage: we package in recognized and acceptable cartons or boxes with labeling for easy identification and all products are stored in suitable conditions, such as temperature and humidity-controlled rooms that will maintain their freshness and quality
- Quality inspection: Done by both our company Agronomist/Quality control manager and a certified Government Ministry inspector on the final inspection before approval
- Traceability and Corrective measures: All our produce from the farm to the packhouse until the final destination is labeled and traceable. We give your assurance that where a challenge is faced in our products, Our system will easily trace, rectify and improve to meet our client’s satisfaction.
