The cayenne pepper, also known as the red hot chili pepper, bird pepper, or especially in its powdered form, red pepper, is a cultivar of Capsicum annuum related to bell peppers, jalapeños, paprika, and others. It is a hot chili pepper used to flavour dishes. It is named from the city of Cayenne in French Guiana.
Greatly preferred for its mild hotness and flavour, cayenne pepper treats a variety of health conditions including poor circulation, weak digestion, heart disease, chronic pain, sore throats, headaches and toothache making its demand high.
